Vermont holds off Rutgers 77-71

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) Evan Fjeld had 19 points as Vermont beat Rutgers 77-71 in the Legends Classic on Sunday.

Despite sitting out more than 15 minutes due to illness, Marqus Blakely had 17 points, nine rebounds, five blocks, four steals and two assists for the Catamounts (2-1). Maurice Joseph added 17 points.

Mike Rosario had 22 points for the Scarlet Knights (2-1), while Jonathan Mitchell added 15 and Mike Coburn 13. (MORE)
