Gasquet says he's ready for cocaine-kiss hearing
BASEL, Switzerland (AP) Richard Gasquet says he's ready to face a sports court which will examine whether he tested positive for cocaine because he kissed a woman in a nightclub.
The 23-year-old Frenchman said on Friday he knows what he has to do when challenged by the World Anti-Doping Agency and International Tennis Federation in Switzerland next Tuesday.
The two organizations have asked the Court of Arbitration for Sport to ban Gasquet for one to two years.
Gasquet failed a drugs test after pulling out injured from a tournament in Florida in March and was suspended.
But an independent tribunal called by the ITF ruled he was not to blame. It cleared him to play again after serving just 2- 1/2 months.
The CAS verdict is expected later this year.
